Broken Clock comes from the #awfullyenglish country garden at Shandy Hall in North Yorkshire, a rather idyllic place where time stands still.

And today on Apple Day it’s a somewhat fitting occasion to show a little appreciation for the ancient orchard trees at the end of the garden.
Here, three varieties of slow-ripened windfall apples hang patiently from the branches until they drop to the dewy lawn below in the Autumn winds; only then to be gathered up to play their part in the #brokenclockvodka recipe.
