Cocktail shakers at the ready, strainers steady this titanic tipple tussle was go at the inaugural Classic Cocktail Competition in London, earlier this week.

Broken Clock was the official pouring vodka for this fiercely fought contest, organised by Pub and Bar and Dine Out magazines.

And the clock was somewhat ticking for 15 canny competitors who were tasked with showcasing half a dozen bespoke interpretations of classic cocktails within a strict time limit.

Bartenders from across the nation were a case in point, demonstrating how Britain’s pubs, bars and restaurants are consistently raising their game when it comes to serving top draw cocktails to their customers.

Kudos to all the finalists involved and special mention to Ed Garner from Barrio Bars who scooped Bartender of the Year as well as winning our awfully English vodka’s own category of Vodka Martini Of The Year.

Cheers!
