Going the extra mile; the team at Kensington’s Stables Bar are taking you on a bibulous journey for London Cocktail Week — and going the full distance this evening too, for a special bar takeover.
Here at the 5-star Milestone Hotel, Angelo Lo Greco and his canny crew have combined our awfully English vodka with flavours from across of the globe for a bespoke foursome of cocktails available until 22nd October.
The grand tour begins with a hop, skip and jump across the English Channel; A Lych You Can’t Scratch combines Broken Clock with French elderflower liqueur, apple and a dash of absinthe, creating a concoction brimming with curious flavours.
When The Clock Goes Down then transports us to the baked hillsides and sea breezes of the azure coast, with olive oil infused Broken Clock Vodka, sun dried tomato, salt and rare truffles.
For those who easily catch the sun, A Broken Brit Abroad is just the ticket, fusing our lingering vodka with an aromatic Mediterranean liqueur before traversing the Atlantic to South America with smoky mezcal and bitter dark chocolate.
And our final stop is an exotic sour that’s full of Middle-Eastern promise — Roses and Leather marries cardamom infused Broken Clock Vodka and sweetly perfumed rose and leather cordial, shaken with egg white to create an opulent treat.
All four cocktails are being served at the Milestone throughout London Cocktail Week at a special price for wristband holders.
