If the thought of a midweek martini is too tempting then avert your eyes now; these tipples may be too tantalising for the all but the most tenacious of temperaments.

Luckily it's world martini day this week - a time for the annual celebration of the most quintessential of classic cocktails.

So if you simply cannot resist, then you'll be in good company at London's Blind spot  where one can slip out of sight and thoroughly scratch that martini itch.

This sumptuously sultry speakeasy is located in the boutique St Martins Lane hotel where one gains admittance by shaking the brass hand that is the cunningly disguised door handle to the bar's concealed entrance.

Once inside, feast your eyes and treat your tastebuds with an indulgent Oyster Martini, made with our lingering vodka, Bombay Sapphire gin and Lillet Blanc washed with finger lime - just the thing to sink with a fresh oyster on the side.

Or perhaps get your snout into the heady flavours of an awfully english martini laced with freshly grated truffle to really raise some eyebrows.

We'll reveal more about the third irresistible snifter a little later this week; in the meantime all three martinis will be available from Wednesday until the end of the month, so book a spot or pop in for a cheeky peek if you're passing.
