If you find yourself feeling a tad wound up then here’s a rooftop oasis in the City of London that’s just the place to escape the mechanical ticking of modern life.

For the next week you can take time out at Sabine Rooftop Bar and unwind with an exclusive menu of awfully English cocktails including this timely twist on a classic sour, the White Clock.

This garden inspired bar and restaurant is located only a few seconds’ stroll from St Paul’s and under the watchful eye of its commanding cathedral clock a City timepiece that has had a long and somewhat unfortunate history.

Since the earliest record of a clock at this site in 1286, it has been destroyed by a lightening strike, had its hands blown off by the wind and was even dismantled and sold off after Henry VIII wagered and lost the bell tower in an ill-advised game of dice.

But you’ll be counting your lucky stars with this tasty tipple, which combines Broken Clock Vodka, Drambuie, egg white, Angostura Bitters, lemon juice and sugar syrup.
