When the first people were expelled from paradise, Adam took a twig of Myrtle with him to remind mankind of the blissful times.

So, every time we spot Myrtle we find ourselves strongly inclined to snatch a sprig – with its plump and herbaceous scented berries – just in case we suddenly find ourselves banished from Utopia too.
DSC06154_21-01-07_Broken_Clock_Lingering_Vodka_Myrtle.jpg They’ll make a heavenly infusion of Broken Clock; packed to the gills with abundant savoury and peppery tangs and perfect for a cocktail recipe this Sunday.

Forage – or pilfer – a handful of ripe berries, blast them under the tap and give them a quick smash in a pestle and mortar.

Now chuck them into a sterile jam jar, top up with tasty Broken Clock Vodka until the crushed berries are just covered, whack on the lid and hide them away to infuse overnight.
