Sunday Brunch

At the end of a tempestuous week for drinking holes and bar folk in Britain, we believe at the very least everyone deserves a stiff drink.

For this weekend’s Sunday Brunch cocktail we have picked out a Bloody Mary recipe which is gratifyingly delicious yet simple enough to make from the comfort (or isolation) of your own home.

The addition of honey and horseradish and the choice of green Tabasco gives this serve a moreish and tangy character and complements Broken Clock’s flavour perfectly.

This particular serve was made for us by the dashing bar team at the Goring Hotel who have always welcomed us with a beaming smile and a generous measure of enthusiasm.

Indeed, we would like to dedicate this post to all of the nation’s hardworking bar and floor staff who always go the extra mile to serve, surprise and delight.

40 ml Broken Clock Vodka
Fresh Grated Horseradish
1 Muddled Lemon Wedge
8 Dashes Green Tabasco
8 Dashes Worcestershire
1 bsp Pure Honey
Tomato Juice

Salt & Seaweed Rim
Celery Shavings


Rim a highball glass with the mixture of salt and seaweed. Combine the ingredients in a mixing glass and pour into the glass over plenty of ice. Garnish with the ribbons of fresh celery.
