Long, lingering love is a recipe which requires equal measures of sugar and spice.

Too much sweetness makes a relationship rather sickly and yet, should the fires of passion rage too ferociously they threaten to burn down your whole manor.

40 ml Broken Clock Vodka
10 ml Campari
15 ml Rose Syrup
10 ml Pink Grapefruit Juice
5 ml Blood Orange Juice

For the Fiery Foam:
1 Egg White
3 drop Tabasco

Rose Petal
1 dash Rose Water

Start by suitably chilling a martini glass in the freezer, or by filling with crushed ice and water.

Add the Broken Clock Vodka, Campari, Rosé syrup and juices to a Boston Shaker, add plenty of ice and shake energetically until very cold. Double strain the mixture into your chilled martini glass.

Empty the shaker, give it a quick rinse and now it’s time to make the fiery foam. Crack an egg white into the tin, add a few drops of Tabasco and then ‘dry shake’ vigorously without any ice until it is a fine, fluffy foam.

Scoop this onto the surface of the cocktail and evenly smooth over with the back of a spoon.

As the finishing touch, perch the rose petal on top, gently pooling a drop of aromatic rose water inside it.
